ABOUT ME

  • Hello and thank you for coming to my site. I am Geetika, and I am here to help you be confident about handling all the changes that come in the postpartum period.

  • Let me start by saying that yes, I am a doctor - an obstetrician, in fact. That gives me lots of expert knowledge about pregnancy and postpartum. When I was practicing, I loved being able to share my knowledge to empower women to take better care of themselves. I also loved delivering babies - bringing new life into this world, seeing the joy and wonder on parents’ faces - it was magical. However, I also felt a lot of frustration with the lack of time allowed for education of patients about health and wellness, for answering questions, and for helping with understanding and confidence.

  • I chose to leave my practice and focus on my family when I went through difficult, stressful, and expensive IVF treatments to have my own children. It was only by going through pregnancy myself and experiencing the postpartum, that I began to really understand the gaps in the current American medical system with respect to the care and support provided to women who recently gave birth. I birthed three children of my own. I thought my medical knowledge prepared me for what was coming. Two of those pregnancies were complicated by prenatal and postpartum depression. All three were complicated by postpartum overwhelm and isolation, despite having a loving husband and very helpful in-laws.

  • If I had known at the time that I could work with a coach and learn tools to help my mindset, help me set realistic expectations, help me set and meet goals, I would have signed up immediately. And so, I decided that I had to provide just such a service to as many women out there as I could. I have seen and experienced pregnancy and motherhood from various vantage points. I understand the gaps in the care and support of new moms. I have a passion for connecting with people, listening to their stories and struggles, and helping them build strength, flexibility, and resilience in their mindset and approach to challenges.

  • I’d love to help you prepare for and experience the 4th trimester: to eliminate overwhelm, anxiety, and isolation. I will not be giving medical advice, as that is a job for your doctor or healthcare provider. I also do not do therapy. I am here to provide the support and tools you need to build confidence and figure out who you have become through this journey.

  • See how you can work with me to be your best self as a new mom!

MY COACHING METHOD

  • identify

It all starts by learning how to identify what you want and what’s missing. What doesn’t feel right? What could be better?

  • REFLECT

Next, you will reflect on what may be blocking you. What are your limiting beliefs? What is holding back your happiness?

  • Overcome

Finally, you will learn to reframe your thinking and overcome obstacles. You will eliminate fear, anxiety, and overwhelm by trusting yourself and setting up effective support systems.
